Fore-edge painting
Fore-edge painting is an ancient technique to decorate the paper edges of a book. This form of art is created by using watercolour paints and occasionally some white fine liner.
The Twilight Saga

Using screencaps from the movie adaptations of the Twilight series, I painted a variety of different moments onto the edges of its book counterpart.

In the first set of books, I painted a series of homes based in the story, using references from the movies. These books were my first attempt at this style of painting and happen to be my most favourite pieces to date.

As I started to create more and more books, my confidence with landscapes grew. My next challenge was creating landscapes with small silhouettes, this was my first attempt at building myself up to a portrait.
